Welcome to Toro Ramen and Sushi, where culinary passion meets the comfort of a warm bowl of noodles and the artistry of freshly sliced fish. Named after toro—the highly prized, buttery, melt-in-your-mouth belly cut of tuna—our restaurant was built on a simple promise: to bring premium, expertly crafted Japanese comfort food to our Utah communities in an upscale yet inviting neighborhood setting.

THE SPARK OF INSPIRATION
Our journey began with a vision shared by veteran Sushi Chef Sunny Tsogbadrakh and his business partner, Tony Magsar. Having spent over a quarter-century mastering the delicate intricacies of traditional sushi bars across Utah, Chef Sunny wanted to create an informal space where exceptional quality was accessible to everyone. He set out to craft an eatery that answers a simple question: Can a neighborhood spot deliver both world-class specialty sushi and authentic, slow-simmered Japanese ramen? The answer was a resounding yes.

CRAFTING THE MENU
Every dish at Toro tells a story of patience, tradition, and creative fusion. We bridge the gap between traditional Japanese techniques and modern flavor preferences:
- The Heart of Our Bowls: Our ramen broth is cooked low and slow for hours to achieve a signature, velvety richness. From our classic pork chashu Tonkotsu Broth to the fiery kick of our Karai Ramen, every spoonful provides comfort.
- The Art of the Roll: Guided by decades of knife-work experience, our sushi selection ranges from immaculate traditional nigiri to signature inventions like the Sweety Roll (salmon, cucumber, hamachi, and jalapeño) and the Ninja Roll.
- A Table for Everyone: We believe community dining means no one gets left behind. That is why we dedicated deep culinary focus into developing a savory, rich miso-based Veggie Ramen and diverse starters like crispy chicken karaage and gyoza.
